Dear students,
We hope you are enjoying your semester. Here are some important info :
1- A number of you have asked to switch e-portfolio sessions
As the auditoriums are big and the number of students between sessions relatively balanced, we can be flexible and adjust to legit personal circumstances. We will not re-open the registration system though, so please make sure to add your name on the participation list on the session you attend, as you must attend one of them.
2- We still receive a few questions regarding the Corporate activities. As a reminder, these are independent activities organised by the Career center and not by the teaching team, i.e. we are not in charge of the program, the schedules or your presence/ absence for Module 2, which are reported to us by the Career center.
To answer frequently asked questions:
- The corporate activity must be done DURING THE UNIVERSITY year, i.e until June. You do not need to have done your activity before the final exam in December. This is because we will check with the Career Center at the end of the uni year if you attended the activity you committed to attend, and put a penalty on your grade if you did not attend any / did not show up. That way, the content of the exam you handle in December is independent of the corporate activity.
- There are more than 700 spots for the activities overall, so you will find one that is for you. I know some of you stress out not to have a full list of activities at the beginning of the year, but this is not logistically feasible for our corporate partners - as you know, one constantly takes rational decisions in context of uncertainty/ information asymmetry, and you must accept that companies do not have the same constraints rhythms and temporalities than unis. The solution is to check Jobteaser regularly to check if something interesting for you pops up.

3- The Career center's 'Soft skills seminars' will take place on November 25th. We advertise them in this course as interesting opportunities for you to go further in your skill development. Please have a look at the different workshops, in all Belgium. Those workshops are not mandatory, there are limited seats and they do not qualify as Corporate activities.
