This course gives an overview of English literature from the beginning of the eighteenth century to the end of the Victorian age, with a focus on the emergence and development of the novel.
This course includes seven hours of workshops. These sessions are meant to help students become more familiar with the texts thanks to activities in which the extracts discussed in class are approached from a different angle. The workshops also include writing tasks and/or short presentations.
