Provide a foundation course in English syntax and stylistics.
Main themes:
The course covers the following two linguistic fields:
1. Syntax: grammatical categories; syntactic and semantic functions; simple, complex and compound sentences; etc.
2. Stylistics: analysis of the lexical and syntactic differences between different varieties of English (speech; academic writing; etc.).
